It’s almost christmas, the most wonderfull time of the year and every girl is probably looking for the perfect Christmas- and New-Years-Eve-outfit, or if you already found one, that’s even better! But, don’t forget to decorate your house as well, to create a cosy winter atmosphere. That’s why I want to show you some DIY-ideas for christmas decoration, so we can spend more money on gifts or on the perfect outfit ;-) Enjoy!
You can buy the wooden frame at IKEA or if you’re a handy girl (or you have the perfect boyfriend ;-) ) you can make it yourself. The next step is to make holes inside the wooden frame to put the strong cord. You can find the small christmas decoration and lights in every decoration store, like for example in H&M Home. If you hang up the construction on the ceiling, you can create the same effect on the wall as you see on the picture. So lovely! And by the way, this “christmas tree” is perfect as a night lamp next to your bed. Here are more DIY christmas trees.
My friend showed me this idea and untill today I’m really happy with it! In our university we had a laser 3D cutter, so we made this reindeer from wood. Now I’ve painted it black, but I don’t have a picture yet, cause it’s in Belgium ;-). It’s really unique and I’m planning to make more stuff. Love it! If somebody needs my help with making this kind of decoration, just ask me! :-)
This one is for creative people who love minimalistic decoration. You only need balsa wood, cutting material and black paint and you’re ready to go! Here are more examples of DIY-Christmas decoration (PS. look at the cute little cork reindeers!)
I’m still working on my cooking skills, but baking chocolate chip cookies, creating table decoration or cooking hot christmas latte isn’t that hard! What do you think about Gingerbread Christmas Latte or a Pumpkin Spice Latte? Hmmm! Here’s the recipe for a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
What do you need? 1/2 cup of milk, 2 espresso shots, one tablespoon pumpkin puree, 2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar, 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, half a teaspoon of pumpkin-pie spice (optional: whipped cream and canella, to put on top of your latte)
How do we make it? Put the milk, pumpkin puree and brown sugar together in a cooking pan and stir it until it’s hot. Replace your cooking pan from the fire and add the vanilla sugar and pumpkin-pie spice until everything is frothy. Pour the latte about half way up into 2 mugs and add the espresso shots. You can garnish with whipped cream and canella. You can also use the microwave to make the latte: just put everything together in a bowl, cook it for 1 minute 30 and you’re done!
